Re-Thread Clothing Services

Recall the first time you added an item to your wardrobe that you genuinely loved?

At Re-Thread Clothing Pantry, we firmly believe that everything has a cyclical nature and that includes clothing. Even with limited resources, Mainspring gives people and families in need of apparel the impression of something new. Also, Re-Thread has had a makeover this last month. We have created an environment for shoppers to be able to shop with dignity.

Re-Thread gives parents a resource to use when their children grow too quickly for their garments to last as long as they should. Many of those parents will exchange such clothes items for necessities for their kids. It's also a better way for college students who are on a tight budget to trade clothes.

  • Re-Thread Clothing Pantry at Mainspring is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm.  Everyone will be able to shop for at least 15 minutes to ensure that all patrons are able to shop and have access to the resources they need.

  • We ask that you sign in when entering with one of our volunteers or staff members. This allows us to understand the needs of our community to request the clothes, personal care items, soft lines (i.e. sheets and blankets), and small household goods you need.

  • We also carry some items dedicated for harm reduction for every client.

  • Only once a month are customers allowed entry to the interior of the store. During regular business hours, customers are free to select the day and time that works the best for them on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • There are no limitations on the number of times customers can shop outside.

  • Re-Thread’s inventory is dependent upon the donated and exchanged clothing items we have on hand.

    • Since we might not have bags available, kindly bring your own.
